February is here and Valentine's Day is creeping closer with each passing day. I've always been a lover of V-Day, even if I didn't have a beau at the moment. Perhaps it was the spreading of love that had my heart all a flutter. Or maybe I adored how the colors pink and red where strewn everywhere. If I'm being honest, it was probably more of the latter. But, if you hate seeing all the lovey dovey couples when you're as single as ever, don't fret! That's what Galentine's Day is for! And for those that don't know, the holiday was first introduced on an episode of Parks and Recreation by Leslie Knope. But while the official day may be February 13, I don't see why you can't spend the actual day dedicated to love with your best girl friends!
I talked about what I love do and wear when I'm spending the night in with my besties HERE, but what if you'd rather paint the town red (and pink!) arm-in-arm with your crew instead? I suggest dressing up all fancy (and color-coordinated) and documenting it with an abundance of Snapchat selfies! Then treating yo' selves to that fancy restaurant in town you've been dying to go to. And don't forget to gift each other something silly and hand-crafted, because gifts with a story behind them are always the best!
